About us.

History

The Community Service Club of New Fairfield began in the fall of 1983 with the merging of two separate and distinct organizations, the Tuesday Circle and the New Fairfield Service Club. Our goal back then was simple: to give back to our town through a variety of service projects, fundraisers and donations from business organizations via grants. Our original motto was "Quietly Serving the Needs of Our Community". By the fall of 1997 we came to the realization that we did not do anything regarding our beautiful town quietly. It was time to select a new motto that reflected what we felt in our hearts and minds. "For the Good of Our Town". Our club members come from all walks of life, uniting as one, working together to serve the community we so love.

The membership of CSC is made up of a diverse group of volunteers from all walks of life. We all gladly serve our community as one strong unit. Over the years the CSC has contributed to:

• New Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department • New Fairfield Rebel Booster Club • New Fairfield Senior Center • New Fairfield Children’s Library • Regional Hospice • New Fairfield Social Services • Women’s Center of Greater Danbury • New Fairfield Food Pantry • Preserve New Fairfield • New Fairfield Fuel Bank • New Fairfield Animal Shelter • New Fairfield Falcons • New Fairfield Mentoring Program • New Fairfield Rebel Hockey Team • New Fairfield Middle School Odyssey of the Mind Team • Middle School Community Service Awards • New Fairfield High School Post Graduation Party • New Fairfield Community Foundation • New Fairfield BOE Mentoring Program - and more.
