What We Do

Fundraisers

The Community Service Club hosts various fundraisers during the year, which in turn help support our club’s service projects as well as requests for funding received from various organizations, such as the New Fairfield Free Library, Rebels Care, NFHS Boosters Club, New Fairfield Preservation Society (just to name a few). We also use our funds to support our New Fairfield High School scholarship program. A few of our fundraisers include our Junk in the Trunk, Fall Pie bake/sale, Sell Your Old Gold, Crafting Day, Butter Braids sale, Mother’s Day Plant Sale, Stop & Shop Shopping Bags, Walk-A-Thon and more.

Service Projects

The Community Service Club oversees several service projects. Our signature project is Kids Dress For Success (KDFS) - our annual program to provide back-to-school clothing to those children in our community with the greatest need.
Our Healing Hands Quilters consists of club members and volunteers from the community that meet and sew lap-sized quilts for patients beginning treatment at the Danbury Hospital Praxair Cancer Center. We also support other community efforts - such as Relay for Life, Regional Hospice, and holiday basket/gift cards for Social Services (to be given to those in need in our community).

Social Events

The members of the club also know how to work hard and enjoy themselves, as well as each other’s company. We host several annual get-togethers, such as our Holiday Brunch and Holiday Cookie Exchange, our annual Open House and our end-of-year Installation/Awards Dinner. Some of our fun member socials have included a “Spring Potluck Fashion Show”, a haunted October new member social and our lifesize Team Monopoly. Our motto: hard work combined with lots of fun make for very happy members!
